Über den Dächern von Köln: addicted to facebook, while painting.

What makes my life intersting is the mix of different challenges and comfortzones. Painting on canvases and walls, devolopping new ideas on paper, invites and travels to other citys and countrys, and everynow and then comes in a request for a larger outdoor wallpainting.

Analyzing myself and reflecting my actions and thinking became more and more importnat to me over the last years. So iam going back to my beginning, my motivations, to learn from the past. To make a longstory short. I will work more with round shapes in the future. Its all about sharpening your profile, learning and growing.

for projects of this size, you usually have to work with owner/ceo directly. Always a nice way to learn from each other. Its all matter of communication, and how good your reputation and rapport is.

my new neighbourhood

This is me (SEAK) infront of my other current outdoor painting project, the infamous Roseclub. Nirvana, Bad Religion, and MC Rene used to play and perform here, back in the days.

Ive you got the women in the club and most guys will follow. having this in mind, i started to look for some ideas/ a concept which could work. Flipped a few ideas with the owner of Roseclub till we finally got the right Solution.

Zur Zeit komme ich mit laufenden Projekten und neuen Anfragen kaum hinterher. Am Rose Club ( nähe Barbarossaplatz, an der Luxemburgerstr) werde ich wohl noch 1-2 Nächte sprühen und malen. Live vor Publilum zusprühen hat mir in den 90ziger Jahren auf den HipHop Jams schon Spass gemacht.

Parallel zur Neugestaltung der Aussenfassade des Roseclubs, habe ich in Köln Bocklemünd ein grösseres Projekt in Angriff genommen. Am Wochenende habe ich schon mal am Layout des Wandbilds weitergemacht.

Mein Konzept mit frischen und guten Photographen zusammen zuarbeiten ist dabei ein extra Bonus. Gutes Facebook Nezwerk sei Dank. ( aktuelle Bilder sind von Holger Eilhard, ein fähiger Mann aus dem harten Giga TV Kern)

Mal gucken wie ich diese Woche an den beiden Wänden durch komme. RoseClub ist überdacht, da bin ich Regen unabhängig.

Die nächsten Projekte und Anfragen in der Pipeline?!?:

Ansonsten muss ich noch an der Konzeption für diverse neue Projekte rumbasteln, Leinwand technisch steht auch bald mal wieder was an. Eine lokale Partypromoter Grösse hier in Köln hat angefragt, er will etwas für sich in seinem garten gesprüht haben.

Das HipHop Magazin Juice, hatte ja ein paar Reporter mit in Paris bei der Thalys Aktion gehabt. Jedenfalls gibts in der nächsten Juice Ausgabe ein SEAK Special mit Interview.

House DJ Legende und Homie Timo Maas hat angefragt und hat Interesse sich von mir was entwickeln zulassen…. Mal gucken wie wir das einstielen.

Der beste Freund eines Leinwand Sammlers von mir will von mir eine Arbeit auf Leinwand haben. Etwas mit Köln bezug. So grob in die Richtung wie das Bild was Lukas Podolski von mir hat.

Dann gibts noch diverse Anfragen zu Festivals aus Südamerika. Ob ich da Zusagen kann steht noch aus. Zur Zeit bin ich halt hier zu Busy. Obwohl auf so 1-2 Wochen Sprühurlaub im Dschungel mit guten Koks, leckeren Latinas, anständigen Transen, und frisch gepressten Fruchtstäften, hmmmmm……. das hebe ich mir für den januar auf, falls der WInterblues kommt, und mir das Leinwand malen zu sehr zu Kopfe steigt.

Achja eine Schule hier in Köln die im Rahmen des Unterrichts mich mal bei der Arbeit besuchen wollen. Eventuell machen wir darraus einen Workshop.

Iam quite busy at the moment. still painting the outside of the Rose Club here in the southside of cologne (koeln), my hometown. Nirvana and Bad Religion used to play gigs in this joint years ago.

I although started a new project on a scuffolding, at the westside of cologne in Köln-Bocklemünd.

135 Squaremeters of pure pleasure. That will keep me busy for at least 1-2 Weeks.

i started to cooperate more and more lately with individual photographers documenting my work. this is turning out quite nice, thanks to a really good network of friends on facebook.

Whats next,upcoming projects, things which are on the to do list:

- House Dj Legend and Homie Timo Maas requested me to do some more work for him,

- a friend of a canvas collector of my work, just showed up the other day @ my studio showing interestin a  canvas, similar to the one i did for the Football (soccer) Libero Lukas Podolski.

- got several request for southamerica to festival this year. At the moment i might be too busy here in germany with my current projects, but the idea of having endless access to high grade Blow, Og Latinas, and to good to be true Trannys somewhere in the Jungle, while painting, and making new friends, sounds like a plan for, mmmhhh january february…

- and then I did an interview for Juice Magazine, here from Germany. They had 2 Reporters send for our Thalys Supertrain Mission, so Marcus Werner the Chief Editor decided to run a SEAK special in there Upcoming Issue.

- a  local Party Promoter requested me thru facebook, he wants a wallpainting done in his garden.

- I got request from a Public School here in cologne, they wanna have me speak to the kids, and give them the chance to see how i work.

Ill promise to post here more often, and more detailed and personal.

Besides the regular on-going paint requests and canvas painting, this will be my beach for the Summer09.

Poppe, Kaate, Danze! Dat kannste Liebelein! Rock`n`roll op Kölsch vum SEAK quasi.

Nach einer Auftragsanfrage des Troisdorfer Gastronoms Miguel Barreto, gabs es die Möglichkeit ganz was Feines zum Thema Rock`n`Roll Lifestyle auf die Wand zu zaubern.

Ein von SEAK entwickeltes Auftragsgraffiti für die “Rockbar”. Das neue Bar Projekt im Rheinsiegkreis für Metall Fans, Rocker, Biker, 1%er, Emos, Waver, und Rock Enthusiasten ussem Leve.

Das spontane Motto entstand beim Dosen und Farben zusammenstellen in SEAK`s Huerther Atelier, frei nach dem “Brings” Klassiker.

Denn Schriftzug “Poppe, Kaate, Danze” kann man auch aus einem wunderbaren Totenwinkel zum Dj und der Bar lesen. Hey das ist eine Rockbar! Mal abgesehen ist davon ist diese Innenraum Gestaltung mit noch diversen andern Dreideutigkeiten vollgepackt. Das Thema Totenköpfe/Skullz, und gesprayte Tattoo Skullz werde ich wohl in Zukunft bei Sprühaufträgen noch öfter anschneiden. Noch ein Danke Schön an  Manuel der mich während meines Rolltor Auftrags bei Hulk Biofood angesprochen hatte, und mich weiter empfahl.

Ive you are a fan of double meanings, the meta level, and interpretating urban slang (ebonics), code language, or just have a cocaine past/ are in the phase of quitting the pleasures of good fine polvo you will love this painting of me.

The devils hand provides the 8ball ( 1/8 ounce of cocaine)

In case you wanna dance with the devil: in germany the bumpheads and partypeople use codes like:

gutes gut= Good), yeyo, eyo, cola, kaffee, kommt kerstin,  gute freunde (good friends).

Play at your own Risk!! The Bank always Rules. So ive you wanna fire up your endorphine and dopamin Tanks and Spenders, there are much more less devlish anchors in the world, like sport, sex, dancing, etc. Enjoy!

“poppe, kaate, danze” is a Rhineland slang version of: Fucking arround/ playing & doodleing with cards, and dancing. Playing with cards in this context is ment although playing with creditcards.

guitars, microphones, spraycans, vinyls,……… the structure which follows is mostly the same.

first playing and training humble in your garage, and then comes the fame, and then come all those seductive  things which truely challenges you.

The horns of the devil. “dat kannste”… means “you can do it”. the devil is cuckolding your karma and Mojo  in mid and longterms. Btw absolutely no more Perico/blow/bamba/bota/coke how ever you wanna call it for me on this continent. I switched back to Espresso

The best which can happen when youre living a Skidrow Nightlife:

- Ace with a red Heart: You will find the Love of your Life.

- 3 Stones/Rocks in your Hand: a adrenaline loaded comunicative Happyend,

- the grey cards is your average optional standard pull.

Mal abgesehen von einem kurzen Abstecher zur Eröffunungsvernissage der Artbasel am Dienstag, bin Ich die nächsten Tage hier mal und sprühtechnisch damit beschäftigt, die Ecke in ein Meer aus Flammen zu versetzen.

Über Karneval hatte ich Graffitisprüher aus New York zu Besuch.

Geplant war spontan ein gemeinsames Wandbild umzusetzen.

Als das Wetter sich dann verschlechterte und die Jungs sich vom Kölner Rosenmontagszugs erholt hatten, improvierten wir einfach in dem wir gemeinsam das Mural was ich mit einem Künstlerkollegen aus Sao Paulo 2002 hier gemacht hatte ausbesserten und weiterfortsetzten.

latley more and more artist friends and collegs are anouncing them self for a short “paint over weekend” as it seems. this time i had some graffiti writers from new york of carnival here.
the odd weather and the crazy street carnival couldnt stop us from painting at least something together.

Here you have a little inside view of what happend during my 1 month invite to Guadalajara. Mexico.

Iwas invited there for a huge Graffiti and Streetart-Festival.

Someone more serious then me advised to absolutley not mention here all the decadent partys, crazy afterhours, scaringly huge amount of drugs ,the Mr.big´s and there Soldados, the big estates, police officers with black books, did i mentioned the police officers with the great connections to even more high quality… (biting my tounge now), oh yeah all the crazy super fresh/hot lookin chula sabrozas, Mami Lindas, emo bunnys, and crazy American locster who cant go back to the states for the next 13-20 years…

Instead my anonymous adivsor told i should focus on pointing out the great big hearts of the people ive met, which invited me, which i became friends with, and which embraced me into there family. Oops, iam almost sliding back into the whole Ubergangster talk.
And the amzaing character writers mexico, the best food in world, the fact that i had the chance to art direct and paint an early building of louis barragan with the local graffitikings.
Funny was although the situation where a certain entreprenuer was offering me seriously a Kilo of topnotch perico for painting a wall in his office.

Hiermal eine Auswahl einer Auswahl von Bildern meiner anderthalb Monate in Mexico.

Eingeladen war ich mit anderen Interntionalen Graffiti und Street Art Künstlern, alles alte Kollegen.

Ich sollte an dieser Stelle vielleicht nicht die dekadenten Partys, Afterhours, Frauen Geschichten, die Chula Sabrozas, die Mami Lindas, die Drogen, Dorgenbarone, die Cessnas, die vielen bunten Vögel, die ungwöhnlichen Angebote um an Leinwände ranzukommen, die Villen, die Anwesen, etc sowie die korrupte Polizisten erwähnen.

Stattdessen erwähne ich lieber die liebevolle Betreung, die leidenschaftlichen Menschen, die grosse Herzen, die beste Volkstümliche Küche der Welt, mal abgesehen von der bayerischen, Polizisten die ihr Blackbook für Autogramme dabei haben, die gute freunde die mich im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes in ihr Familie aufgenommen haben. Oder wie ich dazu eingeladen wurde eines der Frühwerke von Louis Barragan(Bauhaus) zugestalten.
