SEAK: Graffiti and Street Art Diary

In grösserer Gesellschaft gemeinsam essen zu gehen macht einfach tierisch Spass. Hatte ich früher öfters bei den ganzen EInladungen ins Ausland, speziell wenn es sonniger wurde, wie Italien, Südfrankreich, Mexico oder Spanien.

Irgendwie entgeht mir das hier in Kölner immer, liegt wohl an meinem sehr unterschiedlichen Freundes und Bekanntenkreis was Alter und Sozialverhalten angeht. Kann aber auch daran liegen das ich ja nicht in Betriebliche Strukturen eingebunden bin. Ich sollte vielleicht diese Promischiene weiterkultivieren.

Jedenfalls hatte die Agentur Gannaca mit einem ihrer wichtigsten Kunden Novero ( die ein neues  Super Headset ((wenns ein Handy wäre es ein Iphonekiller)) rausgebracht haben) zum Kölner Kreativen DInner geladen.

Von den 8 Gästen kannte ich DJ Fankiebassbeton ja schon, die anderen nur vom sehen, oder aus der Presse. Ging denen umgekehrt bei mir wohl ähnlich. Das alte Spiel, “ach du sprühst….mmhh aha, aha… ach die Sachen sind von dir…..ach das ist ja ein Ding.” Obwohl  Gemeinsame Freunde und Bekannte hat man jede Menge. Von den Berufen ging das quer Beet über Design, Musik, Produktdesign, Werbung, Mode, Tanz und Performance, und Kunst.

Das ganze war ein sehr interessanter Rahmen sich mit anderen Kreativen die im Leben stehen auszutauschen und mal zugucken wie so jeder sein Spiel in seiner Branche entwickelt, und was man davon lernen kann. Flirten inclusive

Kelis, Paris, Samuel L. Jackson, Juliette Lewis sie alle haben auch eins bekommen. Hurra und ich bin mal wieder Vip. Werde das Teil an meinem Aktuellen Auftrag in Longerich wohl das erstemal einsetzen. Die Verpackung und das ganze System drumherum ist jedenfalls ziemlich durchdacht konzipiert

That will be  a bit more genreous with free Sneakers in 2010, and i will keep on getting funky clothes from fresh brands. 7. That I will finally start with prints (digital/ giclee/ silkscreen). 8. That my Familiy, Homies and Friends staying fine, happy and healthy too. 9 That i will keep on learning, understanding and growing.

Another Busy Week is over. The rainy weather is blockading me a little bit @ the Big Planet Mural in Cologne Bocklemuend, but i keep myself busy any how. Cutting a  few stencil for Bocklemuend aswell as the Rose Club Outside. My Homie Olli sended me fresh frontal pics of one my actual 2009 canvases.

The Berlin Newspaper “Berliner Zeitung” did a pretty personal feature about my background. at first i thought its maybe a bit too personal, considering the hiphop/graffiti/street/urban culture/ survival of he fittest subculture iam coming from. But fuck it.

Nike was sending me some love to have a proper start into this cold and dark time of the year. airforce1 premium. SInce there were talks at Nike to do a SEAK signature Sneaker, a Homie who back then worked for Nike brought me into the Friends for Nike Circle. Besides a few well known Artists friend of mine, there are although Folks like Harris, Sido, Oliver Korritke…..

Regarding the Berliner Zeitung article, i will try o get a English translation and post it soon.

In case you are in germany/switzerland or austria make sure to get a copy of the HipHip Magazine JUICE.

They did in there current monthly issue a large Interview with me. ( i will double check with them, maybe they are cool, and i can post a translation here too.

Felix from Over collectibles in New Jersey send me a mail, announcing that my collecors cards are ready to Ship. As soon as i have sample`s i will post them.

The canvas of the card is done in Bolzano Tirol Italy for a art collector, on a castle of the Mount Everst Climber Reinhold Messner.

The Worldpress was there. I will get a full press coverage beginning of 2010 of the whole project.

I combined the letters of my artist name “Seak” with the my birth and hometown “Köln” (cologne).

Using the offical colours of cologne (red and white and a bit of blackand orange) aswell a few local visuall traditions and heritage like the 11 blacks flames represent the 11 virgins which rescued cologne in very early medieval times from the huns, the three crowns, the top parts of the “Kölner Dom” (cathedral), etc, etc, etc…

The fact that ive painted the bar waggon makes perfectly sense with the party, carnival and highlife image cologne has in the world.

I fucking love how serious the all watch and look on this pic´s. feels like being in Vietnam during the Ted Offensive.

looking back to the satelite series ive did for the biennale in Shenzhen ill tend to break down my letters more and more recently into plain satellites.
ill started this canvas 3 years ago, and it took me almost 2 month in my studio to finish this baby up.
love and hate are sometimes so close together. iam kinda over with those hardcore detailed big canvases unless ill add a zero at the end or triple the first number.
no one told me 16 years ago that urban art will be so much work.
in anycase thats a keeper deluxe, for sale only in good and the right hands.
still thinking about a good title. it kinda represents the infinitive possibilties, movement, creative chaos, the joy of repeating yourself,….
